We understand that in the 21st century, watching a Video is better than reading through a lot of text, but please read this short two lines:
If you need to kick hundreds of times for making your feet COMFORTABLE to IMPACT, can you imagine how many times in proportion you have to practice knuckle conditioning…?
That’s all you need to know but, for those who want to learn more:
Feet wear Shoes, Punches don’t.
that’s why, in a real situation, you want to make sure that:
- when you hit, you hit hard
- when you hit, you hit multiple times
It just comes down to one factor: Pain. The number (and intensity) of your hits is proportional to the pain you will feel. But if you practice knuckle conditioning, this statement can become inversely proportional: Less pain, more hits. Good news! And learning Hard Qigong can further higher your pain threshold.
The only homework for you is to start building strength in those fists of yours, by gradual but constant knuckle conditioning. Take, for instance, our Ancestors: they didn’t wear any shoes when hunting in the forest, but their skin and bone structure developed such a high insensitivity to pain that walking on grass, rocks or branches was as normal as wearing boots. You have to keep this in mind when you practice knuckle conditioning, because life won’t ask you to wear gloves before you are put to the test.
