Training Martial Arts everyday: a Mission for the unique few.

How often should I be training

So you have decided to commit in training everyday… If you are still considering this big decision of yours, don’t forget this:

If you commit yourself and then you give up after a week, keep your two-day-a-week routine and do yourself a favor.

Your time is precious to yourself, and it would be a shame if you couldn’t keep your word to yourself.

A mission where failure is not an option. Now that you are ready to take the challenge in, it’s time to be serious: Martial Training will no longer be your hobby, but your mission of life. Period.

Be honest with yourself and – most important – be proud of yourself by honoring your vow and train everyday*. Training martial arts everyday might look simple as a four word sentence, but it takes courage to put it in practice. Don’t forget that you will be training your mind as well, so what you will be also building is a huge mental toughness along with a stronger self esteem. There will be days where your mind will tell you not to train, but you are stronger and will easily overcome this call.

* recommended training scheme is five days a week + two days of full rest, whether more than 3 hours of workout time is fully carried out.

Ultimately, remember that times flies, and you might find yourself starting your journey tomorrow, and suddenly see yourself become a martial arts expert in no time.

The most satisfying part of training everyday in martial arts is seeing yourself not giving up after more than twenty years: it’s just something that makes all the efforts and struggles worthy to be carried on. Morning rain or snow, early starts at 4:45, are no more a problem, because you have proven for years that you are in control of your laziness. Master Fabio Zambelli
